Meals for 10/1/09

Wow!! October is here!! I can't believe how fast this year has gone...alot of changes and adjustments moving across the country...colors of the trees are changing and the air is crisp and cold...and I am loving it!! I can't wait until the colors are at their prettiest and then look out camera! As of the 4th of this month it will have been 6 months since I saw my family! It doesn't seem like that long...and I will see them in a few short months for Christmas...it is weird how you don't know how close you are to your family until you live 3,000 miles away! The good thing is I can call and talk to them whenever I want at no cost (Comcast bundle has free long distance) so I talk to my Mom every day and my sister usually 3 or 4 times a week.

Once again I got my butt out of bed this morning and headed down to the exercise room...watched Dr. Oz while I exercised. I did 30 minutes on the treadmill at 1.5 incline and 2.5 mph and then 2 minutes on the elliptical...I know that doesn't sound like alot...but the elliptical is HARD! I have to work my way up on that one...I have very weak legs and that is a leg and heart workout! Then I came back upstairs and had some breakfast and I am chillin and drinking lots of water! Here is what I had for breakfast:

Small Banana = 1.5 points
Craisins = 2 points
Total points for Breakfast = 3.5

I wanted to do something a little different for breakfast. I am not a cranberry fan...but I have had craisins in salads before so I thought I would try just eating them...and they aren't that bad..they are tart...which I am more of a sweets person and not so much for the tart kinds of candies...but I can handle these...and the nice thing is I can sit and eat about 3 or 4 and then wait about 5 minutes and much on another 4 or so...so they last through the morning...and keep my mouth happy! LOL

Check back for lunch...I think I might have my Chicken BBQ Ranch Wrap...I just love those tortillas! I used them last night with dinner instead of the flour tortilla's and I loved it:) Catch you all later friends:)

Hello everyone! We have a little sunshine coming through the clouds..which makes these dreary cloudy days a little more tolerable. After spending the morning doing some things around the house and taking Riley outside to do some business...BRRRR! This time I wore my long pants (capree's are going in the summer drawer) and my heavy Disneyland coat...and it was better...:) I had a nice little surprise coming back in...the apartment complex does a fall setting with haystacks, corn stalks, pumpkins and mums...so I had to go down and take some pictures...you can check that out on my other blog...I will post them there:)

  1. Don't feel bad about the elliptical....the most I've done on that damn torture rack is 30 seconds!! I'm sticking to the walking at the park...I'd much rather do 6 miles there than 2 seconds on the elliptical, lol. Food pics look great as always!! :)
