Hi there my friends...

I hope all of your are having a wonderful holiday season so far! Things have been super hectic around here the last 2 weeks. Sorry I haven't posted in a while. Starting this new job has made things really busy. By the time I get home I don't even want to think about getting online! But I know that I need to catch up on my blogs!

The more settled I get at my new job the better I am getting about my eating. At first I didn't take my lunch as much as I should and would eat cafe food but now I am taking my lunch with healthy snacks and drinking lots more water so I am getting back on track! :) I will be starting to do some live work next week instead of just reading so that is exciting:)

Just wanted to check in and let you all know I am still here. I will be catching up on your blogs soon...thank you so much for all your support and for coming back to read my blog...:)

Hello everyone...

Sorry I have been gone so long...its been crazy starting a new job and trying to keep up with housework and spending time with the hubby and puppy...and trying to keep up two blogs. I haven't been doing as good on the eating front...I don't know what is wrong with me. I just lost my motivation a bit. Don't worry I am not giving up...but I am just going to enjoy the holiday and then get back on track 100%. I am still watching what I am eating but I haven't been tracking like I should...and right now with the job and the holidays its just too hectic for me. I tend to eat when I am stressed so I figure I need to just chill out a little....so please forgive me if I am absent more often here...I promise it won't be long and I will be blogging more:) It is snowing here in Boston and they are saying we may get up to 6 inches!We shall see!

Weigh in Results...a day early!!

That's right...I am weighing in a day early...because I know that it will take about a week for me to work off what I ate today...I didn't do too bad but I enjoyed my Thanksgiving with some wonderful friends Kristen & Kevin and their family! I want to thank them for making our first Thanksgiving here such a good one!! With both of our families back in Seattle they were kind enough to take us in and feed us some good food!!

I am going to be making my own Turkey dinner tomorrow...so that way we will have lots of sandwich fixings and dinners for at least half of next week! Anyway...back to the reason for this post....I got on the scale today and.....

I lost .04 lbs again!

I will take that!! With all that I have eaten this week...not 100% good and I was still able to lose that is great!

I'm still here everyone!!

Hi!! This has been a busy crazy week...I have come to a decision. I know I normally list everything I eat every day, however now that things are getting a little more hectic in my life and I will be starting a new job on Monday I am still going to blog what I eat but I may not every day...and blog more about the challenges and victories of our new weigh of life...it is just too overwhelming to have to post every single day worth of meals with the job and other things I will have to catch up with when I get home. I won't have all day to blog anymore:( But I will have more to blog about too!:) Now that I will have a life outside of this apartment!

Tomorrow is Thanksgiving and I am going to enjoy the day and just watch my intake but not deprive myself of anything...I am spending it with my friends Kristen & Kevin and their family...and I am very excited! Then on Friday I am going to make my own Turkey and the fixings and have LOTS of leftovers for the week of lunches for my first week at my new job! I NEVER get tired of turkey sandwiches...and I am going to try some turkey wraps too...:)

Meals for 11/23/09

Hello everyone:) Its been a busy morning around here...got up and wanted to get out and grocery shop early to beat the crowds...well that didn't happen so much at the grocery store! I went to a Fruit market first..check out my other blog to see pictures of the place....and then went to the grocery store. Kevin and I were invited to our good friends Kristen & Kevin's parents house for Thanksgiving but I also wanted to make a turkey dinner here since I have never done it before...so I got the fixings for it and we will have leftovers for sandwiches...as I said yesterday I am going to eat a little of everything...not panic about everything but try to maintain my loss and not gain...but I am not going to deprive myself of the things I love because that will just make me want it more...and I will just need to add a little more exercise so I can maintain my weight.

This morning I got up and got out of here so fast that I didn't eat any breakfast...I know..bad me! I really didn't think about it. I came home and had a Smart Ones dinner, crackers and cheese and a granola bar:

Laughing cow cheese wedges = 1.5 points

Hello everyone...

I am still here...the weekend has come and almost gone and its been a busy one. Yesterday we took a nice drive as it was nice outside...did some errands and didn't get home until 2:30...and then we went to meet some friends for dinner. We had a great time! I haven't laughed so much in my whole life!! It was so nice to meet some new people and new friends. I can't say that I did very good on the eating front....and I will be back on track tomorrow and start posting my meals again...things will be crazy this week with the holiday but I think I am going to focus more on maintaining than losing this week.

I am not feeling so good today...there is alot of things going around and I feel like it might be sinus issues but it may be a cold coming on...always hard to tell with me...but I have 3 days to rest before Thanksgiving and I am very excited to spend it with Kristen and Kevin and her family.

We got home a little after midnight last night and didn't get to sleep until about 1:30 so I am a little tired...Kevin is sleeping in the living room...I can hear him snoring:) Kevin made me some scrambled eggs and bacon with some toast for breakfast:) I am drinking tons of water today as I haven't been doing that the last few days...

Hello...I am back!:) Sorry for the blah moment yesterday but today I am back on track! I was very surprised with my weigh in..and I will post separately on that...Kevin is off today so I think we may or may not go out...it is rainy and yucky outside and they are predicting heavy rains today...so we will see! For breakfast I had a bowl of my Kashi cereal with my Almond Breeze. I just love this stuff!!

Blah!

Today hasn't been a good day for my eating...I am going to take a day off on posting because it isn't a good one! I am still counting the points but I am not going to post about what I ate...sometimes I just don't want to....and today is one of those days...I am not expecting to lose much tomorrow if any at all...

Kevin took today and tomorrow off and we went to his dentist appointment this morning and found out that he needs 2 crowns and a filling done...which means more money...ugh! But now that I have a job it isn't as bad but we still have to watch our spending at Christmas...but it has to be fixed...

Don't worry all...I am still motivated to lose weight...I am not giving up...in fact for a non scale victory today I got a new shirt and pair of dress pants for work and dropped a size!! So that felt good!

Meals for 11/18/09

Good Morning friends!:) Today is a nice relaxing day...slept tons better last night!! I am watching some of my Medium shows and doing some laundry...I have dinner in the crock pot and I am back on track today:) For breakfast I had my Kashi cereal with some Almond Breeze:

Hey y'all I am back:) Just got done cleaning the kitchen and starting the dishwasher so I thought I would hop online and share what I had for lunch...I was in the mood for something but wasn't quite sure what...I opened my fridge and saw the turkey pepperoni and tortilla and thought maybe I will try making a pizza quesadilla....sooooooo I took out one of my one point tortilla's, some boboli sauce, turkey pepperoni and low fat mozzarella cheese and did just that! I spread a little of the pizza sauce on the tortilla, put 1/4 cup of the low fat mozzarella cheese, 8 turkey pepperoni (1/2 serving) and folded it over and baked it in my toaster oven for 10 minutes at 350 degrees...turned out perfect and it was just what I was craving! Here is a picture...sorry you can't really see the inside...it was just enough cheese and pepperoni with low points!!

Tortilla = 1 point
Sauce = 0 points
Reduced Fat Mozzarella Cheese = 2 points
8 Turkey Pepperoni = 1 point
Veggie Crunchers = 3 points
Total points for Lunch = 7 points

Afternoon Snack:

Almonds = 4 points

How can you beat that?? 4 points for a quesadilla?? And it was very filling! Next time I am going to try microwaving it...just to see if it is any better...the tortilla got a little more crisp than I would want it and I want this to be something I can throw together and take it for lunch when I start my new job:) Don't forget to check back for dinner...it smells amazing!! I just love crock pots!! Ta Ta for now!

Hello!! As I told you all earlier I made the Mexican Crock Pot Chicken from Heathers blog. Scroll up and there is a link you can go directly to this recipe. I am just going to show pictures of preparing it and how it looked when it was done. The only thing I didn't do was run the sauce through a blender..I kind of liked the chunky bits of salsa...:

LOVE these crock pot liners..thank you Heather!! I didn't know they made such a thing!

Salsa, water, taco seasoning, chili paste, garlic paste and cilantro paste

Pour it over the chicken breasts. Cook on low 6-8 hours or high for 4-5 hours. I pulled out the chicken 1/2 hour before it was done to shred the chicken and then put it back in. The meat just fell apart!



Mexican Crock Pot Chicken w/tortilla = 6 points
Corn = 2 points
Total points for Dinner = 8 points

Snack:

VitaMuffin = 1 point

Dessert: Skinny Cow Truffle Ice cream bar = 2 points

I'm back...

Hello everyone...I am sorry for being absent...things have been crazy as I said yesterday and I haven't been on plan 100% of the time...I was really anxious and excited about the job after my interviews last week so I ended up eating things that I normally wouldn't while on plan. I did count the points but still didn't feel very good about myself. The funny thing is I weighed myself this morning and I have lost .2 pounds which doesn't make much sense..I am not complaining mind you...but it is crazy.

I am getting back on plan today as I now know that I have have a job and one that I know that I will love. So things are going to start getting alot more busy...so I need to learn how to handle that without using food! So far this morning I have had:


Sandwich Thins = 1 point
Reduced Fat Peanut Butter = 2 points
Chobani Yogurt = 3 points
Total Points for Breakfast = 6 points

Meals for 11/14/09 & Weigh in results

Hello everyone...yet another busy day...got up this morning to a very rainy and yucky day outside! We had a nor'easter roll through with alot of winds and heavy rain...so we spent most of the day inside. I worked on the bedroom and getting the rest of the things I wanted to box up to go to storage done and the bedroom looks really good!

I weighed in and I have lost 1.6 pounds this week..:) I was very happy with that...especially since I had that "bad" dinner on Thursday night...I started my day out today with a Jimmy Dean Bagel sandwich:

For lunch I just had one of my frozen dinners...I wasn't in the mood to come with anything creative...LOL

Hello...I hope your all having a great Friday!! I am having a nice relaxing day after such a busy week! Been catching up on some blogs and cleaning up a bit...but staying home! It is starting to get really cloudy outside. Its very windy and we are supposed to get ALOT of rain tomorrow...

I got up this morning and started right off drinking some water...I am going to get all the water weight off by tomorrow morning so I can weigh in and get a true amount. I had one of my yummy Jimmy Dean sandwiches and had a nice lunch...here are the pictures:

Forgive me for I have sinned....

Today was a bit of a stressful day for me...I had my interview which went very well and I should hear something next week sometime:) I was nervous this morning and didn't really want to eat...but knew that I needed to. So I had a banana and nothing else. So that is 2 points. A few hours later I was hungry but still didn't want to eat too much because my stomach was a little nervous and didn't want to eat too much. So I had some almonds...4 points. Then when I got home I had some Veggie Crunchers because I knew we were going to go out to dinner and so that was 3 points. I picked Kevin up from the T station and took him to his eye doctor appointment. By the time we went to Applebees for dinner I was starving!

The reason I titled this the way I did is because I didn't care about the points and the calories I was just hungry and so I ended up having some mozzarella sticks = 12 points and French Dip Sliders = 12 points...I didn't eat the fries. All that salt from the French dip will probably make me gain 2 pounds in water weight...so I am going to give myself an extra day and weigh myself on Saturday...I know better than this...but after a week of being so excited and nervous and a little stressed it kind of caught up with me...but it is over and now I am nothing but excited...:) I will be back on plan tomorrow...however even though I went over my points today I had 29 flex points left over so after using these extra points I have 23 left:) Anyway enough rambling!

Meals for 11/11/09

Hello everyone! Another day another load of laundry...LOL...I hope everyone is having a great Wednesday! I got up this morning and decided to take a trial run to Weston, Ma where my job interview is tomorrow to make sure I know how to get there...and it was a piece of cake:) I am really excited!! For breakfast I had my Jimmy Dean Bagel sandwich...I love these things...I think my favorite so far is the english muffin one...that one seems to fill me up the most...

Jimmy Dean Bagel sandwich = 5 points

For lunch I had a lean cuisine angel hair pomodoro and a nice salad with my new dressing. I really like this dressing...some low fat dressings are too tangy tasting but this one doesn't have a strong tang to it...here are the pictures:

Good evening my bloggies...I hope you had a wonderful afternoon! I did...spent some time catching up on some blogs and finishing my laundry:) Watching a few more of my show Medium and then made a yummy dinner:) Here is the recipe and pictures:


Beef & Bean Burrito = 6 points
Corn = 2 points
Total points for Dinner: 8 points

Beef & Bean Burritos
Makes 4 servings

4 10-inch flour tortillas
8 ounces lean ground beef
1 cup chopped onion
1 15oz can black beans, rinsed and drained
1 10oz can chopped tomatoes & green chili peppers, undrained
1 to 2 tsp chili powder
1 Tbsp chopped green onion

1. Wrap tortillas in foil. Heat in 350 degree oven for 10 minutes to soften. Meanwhile, for filling, in a large skillet cook ground beef and onion until meat is brown and onion is tender. Drain off fat. Stir in beans, undrained tomatoes and chili peppers, and chili powder. Bring to boiling, reduce heat. Simmer uncovered, for 5 minutes or so to desired consistency.

2. Set aside 1/4 cup of the filling. For each burrito, spoon one-forth of the remaining filling onto each tortilla just below center. Fold plain side of tortilla over filling. Fold the opposite sides of tortilla, just until they meet; roll up. Top with the reserved filling. Sprinkle with green onion.

120 calories, 1 g total fat, 26 g carbohydrate, 1 g fiber

I really like this recipe and it really fills you up. I had one with corn and Kevin had 2 of them...one is 6 points and 2 is 13 points. If you try this let me know how you like it:) I am going to go and get ready for bed so I can watch some TV and get ready for my interview

Meals for 11/10/09

Hello friends! Calgone take me away!! Trying to get caught up on laundry now that my washer seems to be working:) I got up this morning and had a really nice breakfast. I found the Jimmy Dean D-lights bagel sandwich and thought I would give it a try...it was very cheesy and good and only 5 points! Here it is:

For lunch I decided to have some leftovers from last night but minus the bread. It is always so much better the day after! I don't have much exciting to say today...sorry for the boring post...LOL...here is a picture of the goulash...and then I had some baby carrots with a new dressing I read about on someones blog..can't remember who..but thank you whoever it was because this is the best low point dressing ever!


Goulash = 6 points
Baby Carrots = 0 points
Ranch Dressing = 2 points
Total points for Lunch = 8 points

Afternoon Snack:

I still have the Halloween candy in my house...don't ask me why! I haven't had ONE piece and it is starting to tempt me...so I am going to get rid of it today! I can't let myself have ANY of it because I know myself and if I have one piece of chocolate it will start me on a binge! So I took out one of my VitaMuffin's in Deep Chocolate and I am telling you this is my lifesaver!! It helps me get over that craving and it is only one point!
