Meals for 10/2/09

Hello there everyone:) I hope everyone is having a great day...its beautiful here this morning. I got up and went to Stop and Shop to get my flu shot. I hate doing it but it has saved me over the last few years from getting really sick. It doesn't protect me from the swine flu but it will other kinds of flu bugs:)

This morning I had one of my favorite breakfasts...you guessed it...sandwich thins and peanut butter...and a banana:) Here is a picture:

Sandwich Thins = 1 point
Banana = 1.5 points
Reduced Fat Peanut Butter = 2 points
Total points for Breakfast = 4.5 points

You might wonder why I eat the same things everyday and not get tired of them...I like routine and when I find good things I tend to stick with them. For lunch I had my BBQ Ranch chicken wrap again...my veggie crunchers and Lemon Torte Parfait.



BBQ Ranch Chicken Wrap = 6 points
Veggie Crunchers = 3 points
Lemon Torte Parfait = 2 points
Total points for Lunch = 11 points

I took a break from my walking today...my legs are really sore from the elliptical yesterday..silly huh? 2 minutes can make you so sore?? I will be spending the day tomorrow cleaning house and getting ready for some special company that is coming on Monday. Kevin's Dad and Sandy are coming for a visit. They are on a cruise that will be making a day stop in Boston. Looking forward to seeing them as we haven't seen them in over a year. Well I better get with it. Check back later for what I have for afternoon snack and dinner:)

VitaMuffin Deep Chocolate = 1 point

Another one of my favorites...in case you don't know I LOVE chocolate...if I couldn't have chocolate on this new weigh of life I would die! :) I also tried something else that I had seen on QVC and found at Costco. It is called Fullbar....have you heard or it? It was something that a weight loss surgeon created to help his patients feel full and not eat so much. You are supposed to eat it 30 minutes before eating a meal and then drink 8oz of water. I did this and it really does work...I ate a Smart Ones frozen dinner and apple w/peanut butter (not together!) and felt full! :) Here are some pictures of it..I took a picture of the front and the back that tells about the bar...it is only 3 points and the Coccoa chip was yummy!! They also have it in peanut butter...but who wants peanut butter when you can have anything chocolate flavor???

Smart Ones Roasted Chicken dinner = 4 points
Apple = 1 point
Reduced fat Peanut Butter = 2 points
Total points for Dinner = 7 points

Dessert: Skinny Cow Chocolate Ice cream cone = 3 points

TOTAL POINTS USED FOR THE DAY: 29.5!

I am still working on my fresh picked apples from the Brooksby Farms. There is just something about picking your own apples that make them taste just a little better:) I am a bit tired tonight...looking forward to a good night sleep!

    those veggie crunchers - there is a diner in my area that serves them (or their exact twins) and i didn't know what they were called or how to find them, and now i know and can begin my own search. YESSS! god they are soooo good.

  2. My sister uses Full Bar and swears by it. I hope you have a great time with your company...it's always good to see loved ones that you only see once in awhile. Hope your week-end is fun! It's supposed to rain here in Maine :( Hugs, Kathleen
