Meals for 10/31/09

Hello everyone...Kevin and I had to get up early and go run some errands so we got up and took our showers and we were out the door before we realized we didn't have any breakfast! It was 10:00 and we had to drop off his dry cleaning in order to be able to pick it up by Monday...so we did that and then Kevin got his hair cut...you can check out my other blog to see the day's worth of pictures....

We then decided to have an early lunch at TGI Friday's. I was able to find a healthy chicken dish...it was their Jack Daniels Chicken with Broccoli and coleslaw. I looked up the calories and fat but it didn't have the fiber counts...with no fiber the chicken came out to 11 points...the broccoli 0 points and I am only counting about 4 for the coleslaw because I didn't eat much of it...here is a picture:

We are having BLT's for dinner...something a little more light...check it out later! Hope your all having a great Halloween!

Happy Halloween!! I bought so much candy and we have not had ONE trick or treater!! Its 9:30pm so I am thinking that they would be done by now. I didn't even think of the fact that the doors to the lobby is locked and you need a special device to scan to unlock them...DUH!! Oh well Kevin will have lots of candy to take to work...I have resisted the chocolate but I did allow myself to have some twizzlers:) Only a couple and that satisfied my sweet tooth. Here is my dinner:

I left a little extra leftover because I had to guestimate my lunch points and it may have been a little higher.....so to be safe I was ok with eating 26 points today. Thank god for the Deep Chocolate VitaMuffins...it really helped keep me in check from eating the chocolate candy...I don't know why I got my favorite kinds...Hershey's bars, whoppers, reeses peanut butter cups and kit kats...but what is really funny is I don't crave them like I used to...so its not as bad as I thought...but I tell you if I didn't have my VitaMuffin I don't think I could say that! It just takes the edge off my chocoholic ways!! :) I hope you all have a great night and wonderful Sunday!

Meals for 10/30/09

Hello everyone!! Another busy morning...I was online and found a possible job opportunity and applied for it...so wish me luck. It is about 20 minutes from home and it is almost exactly what I did for 10 years at Safeco. I so need to get back into a normal routine...even though I have enjoyed my time off I miss the routine end of things...

Kevin also emailed me this morning to tell me that a friend of his from work had a massive heart attack and is in critical condition in the hospital...so if you could all please say a prayer or keep him in your thoughts I would appreciate it...it happened at work which is scary...

For breakfast this morning I did something a little different. I had these VitaMuffin tops that I bought and wasn't sure I liked them very much. It is the Bluebran flavor. It is bran with blueberries. I tried them toasted this time and it tasted much better! I had 2 of them for breakfast:

I'm back...I am so sick of laundry...and I hate my washer!! It never completely drains and I have to run an extra spin cycle and it takes me twice as long to get it done! For lunch I had a tuna salad wrap and veggie crunchers...

I wanted something a little different for dinner...one thing I loved to eat before was the Yakisoba dinners and still had some so I thought I would check out how many points it would cost me...I had a teriyaki one that was only 6 points!! So I was very happy because I had plenty of points left so I had that, some cheese and some more veggie crunchers:



Yakisoba Teriyaki = 6 points
2 Babybel cheeses = 4 points
Veggie Crunchers = 3 points
Total points for Dinner = 13 points

Dessert: Skinny Cow Truffle Ice Cream Bar = 2 points

I guess you have figured out that I love veggie crunchers...I am someone who loves chips and crunchy foods...so this was a perfect alternative to the chips..and they have more taste! I am so excited that today is Friday and I have the whole weekend with my husband and the little man...aka Riley:) I hope you all have a great night!

Meals for 10/29/09


Good Morning everyone!! Busy morning already! Got up and went to the grocery store to pick up a RX for Kevin and a few other things...including the dreaded Halloween Candy! This is my first Halloween here and I know there are not many kids that live here but I can't not get any...I feel horrible telling kids I don't have any candy...so whatever isn't given away Kevin will take to work and put it somewhere where people will eat it up! :) The funny thing is...I REALLY don't crave it...I thought I would but I don't even want to have any...is that weird? I have always been a chocoholic and would eat chocolate like there was no tomorrow but I have been eating things like my Vita Muffin's and Vita Brownies and they are a great alternative to the real thing...and it is portioned!

For Breakfast I just had my cereal and banana....

Fiber One cereal = 3 points
Milk = 2 points
Banana = 2 points
Total points for Breakfast = 7 points

For lunch I had another tuna sandwich and veggie crunchers...

Hello everyone...thank you for all your comments on Riley...he is doing better this morning. He is going to the vet to make sure everything is ok...poor little guy he doesn't like the vet at all...but what dog does?? This morning I had my cereal and banana:

Hello all...spent an hour at the vet this afternoon...Riley is doing good. The vet gave me some medicine to give him if he has any other issues but he isn't running a temperature and his stomach isn't sensitive to the touch so he said the thought he would be just fine...before going to the vet I had this for lunch:

Meals for 10/27/09

Good Morning my blogger friends!! Thank you all so much for your kind words on my weight loss!! It really does mean alot! Got up this morning to a cloudy dreary day outside...and another lovely sinus headache! The weather keeps changing so that isn't helping things! I decided on some good old peanut butter toast and banana...:)

Sandwich Thins = 1 point
Reduced Fat Peanut Butter = 2 points
Banana = 1.5 points
Total points for Breakfast = 4.5 points

Well I am going to spend the afternoon doing some laundry...I know I said I was doing it yesterday but I still have some left. My washer is so stupid...I wash it and then have to do an extra spin cycle because it doesn't drain all the way...so it takes forever to get laundry done!! So check back at lunch!:)

Hello everyone...what a crazy day...my poor little doggie is sick...he had some stomach issues last week and got better and now he is not eating and throwing up...the vet said to give him bland food so I boiled some chicken for him and got him to eat some of that...hopefully he will keep it down. So I have been stressing out quite a bit today. I had meatloaf sandwich for lunch which didn't agree with me...but it would be because of Riley and being worried about him. Here is the picture:

Bread = 1 point (for 2 slices)
Meatloaf = 4 points
Ketchup = 0 points
Veggie Crunchers = 3 points

I picked Kevin up from work to take him to the eye doctor...now that we only have one car it was just easier to go pick him up instead of him having to walk home to get the car. We didn't get home until after 6 and so we ordered a pizza...I had 4 slices of a small pizza...

Pizza = 14.5 points (This is not the actual picture but wanted to show pizza!)

I decided to skip dessert tonight as my tummy is not happy...I am really hoping that Riley is better in the morning...he has another appointment with the vet tomorrow...please send some good thoughts our way...:( Goodnight all!

Weigh in Results...


The lovely weigh in day...

and it was a good one....

because I LOST.....

1.6 pounds!!

I knew that the reason I barely lost anything last week was because it was that TOM, however it is over and gone and now I am not retaining so much water!! Even though I didn't eat the best this weekend I did good:) So my total is 14.6 pounds...I can't wait to hit 15...

When I put it in my Weight Watchers online it said that I have achieved my 5% of my weight loss!! So I am excited:) I hope you all have a wonderful day!

Meals for 10/26/09

Good Morning!! After such a busy weekend and a busy morning I am chilling out for a little bit before I start my weekend laundry! I wanted to get up and plan my week of meals and get to the grocery store early! I got up when Kevin left for work and went through some cookbooks and then remembered a couple of recipes I saw online for Pizza Casserole and a Crock pot Santa Fe Chicken. I am making meatloaf tonight and mexican casserole sometime this week:)

Went to the store and there was an accident in the parking lot and there was an ambulance with an older lady...not 100% sure what happened but someone ran a stop sign and was hit...I saw the stop sign on the ground so I am thinking the person didn't know they had to stop and ran the stop sign and hit the other car. I felt bad for them...but it looked like the older lady went to the hospital but she didn't look like she was hurt bad.

Before I left I ate a Zone bar because I didn't want to go to the store hungry but I wasn't in the mood to make anything...Here it is:

Zone bar = 4 points

I think for lunch I am going to have a Smart Ones frozen dinner...we will see!:)

For lunch I had one of my new favorite Smart Ones dinners...Thai Rice Noodle w/chicken...I have never really had Thai food but I really like this alot! I had some Garlic & Herb crackers and a laughing cow cheese wedge..then I snacked on some baby carrots...I love 0 point snacks! :)

Meals for 10/24/09 and 10/25/09

Hello everyone! Sorry for no post yesterday...it was a very busy day!! Check out my other blog to see what I did! I will list what I ate yesterday...no pictures though...:( Just to stay accountable...I didn't do as good this weekend but I did have my flex points to help out!

Yesterday's Meals:

Breakfast:
Fiber One Raisin Bran = 3 points
Milk = 2 points
Total points for Breakfast = 5 points

Didn't have lunch...but had an Orange Coolatta from Dunkin donuts = 4 points

Dinner: Wendy's Burger, Fries and Frosty = 27 points! ouch!

TOTAL POINTS FOR THE DAY = 36!

This is why you don't not eat lunch...by the time dinner came along I was STARVING! Made a bad choice but I used my flex points and still had 22 left after this...

Today's Meals

Breakfast = Did have any....I know bad girl!!

Lunch:
House Salad from the appetizer menu at Cheesecake Factory = I am guessing at least 15 points. I had the dressing on the side so I didn't eat much of the dressing. Just dipped the fork in it.
Total points for lunch = 15 points

Dinner:
2 servings Fiber One Raisin Bran = 6 points
Milk = 2 points
Total points for Dinner = 8 points

Dessert: Skinny Cow Truffle Bar = 2 points

TOTAL POINTS USED FOR THE DAY = 25!

Meals for 10/23/09

Hello everyone...what a crazy day! Check out my other blog for more explanation as to what happened last night and this morning...that is why my post is so late. Riley is home and doing better...I hope your all having a great Friday! I have stayed on plan today...here is what I have had:

Jimmy Dean Turkey, Egg & Cheese Sandwich = 5 points

I have had another killer sinus headache today..so I haven't been online as much...I wasn't really even hungry for lunch but I knew I needed to eat...so I had:


Smart Ones Fetticini Alfredo =4 points
Veggie Crunchers (2 servings) = 5 points
Total points for Lunch = 9 points

Afternoon Snack:

Full Bar = 3 points

It was a crazy afternoon...took Riley back to the vet because his leg that they took blood from was swollen and he was being really restless...I called the vet and he asked me to bring him right back to make sure he wasn't having a reaction to the antibiotics...check out my other blog for the whole story of the day...he is doing better and the vet said his leg is swollen because when he was taking the blood Riley jerked his leg and he told me at the time that he would have a bruise or sore leg because of it...but he did say he was fine and not having any reaction. He is doing better tonight...still restless but he doesn't feel so good.

Kevin and I ended up going out to dinner to La Paloma and I had tostada's with grilled veggies with NO sour cream...it was really good. I didn't eat it all..mostly the veggies and a few bites of the tostada with refried beans. I am counting 15 points for the dinner..

La Paloma Tostada's = 15 points

Dessert: Skinny Cow Truffle Ice cream bar = 2 points

TOTAL POINTS USED FOR THE DAY = 34!

I did go over my points today...but I still have 29 extra weekly points left so I haven't had to pull too many out of the weekly points this week. Good Morning my blogger friends!! I hope you are all having a great day so far! It is supposed to be 70 degrees today...its crazy how the weather can go from 50's to 70's...it is supposed to be nice tomorrow and then rain on Saturday...My friend Kristen invited me to go to a class at the scrapbooking store with her Mom on Saturday...I am very excited!!

For breakfast I decided I wasn't in the mood for a Jimmy Dean...but I was craving peanut butter...so I had my sandwich thins with peanut butter and a banana:

Sandwich Thins = 1 point

Banana = 1.5 points
Total points for Breakfast = 4.5 points

Hey ya'll...today hasn't been a very productive day for me...other than some laundry and some other little things its been a pretty boring day...I wanted to figure out something else for lunch...I decided to try making a different kind of wrap...I bought some shaved turkey the other day and thought maybe I would use that...I added some light mayo, tomatoes and reduced fat sharp cheddar cheese...it was ok but needed some salt I think. I am really trying to hold back on adding salt to my foods especially this time of month because it just makes me retain water and makes me miserable...and I know that the lunchmeat already has alot of salt..:) Here is the pictures:

Meals for 10/21/09

Hello my friends...I hope your having a great Wednesday! Week is half over:) Today I got up and had to run to the grocery store to pick up some RX's and took some amazing pictures of some trees that were close by...check out my other blog to see them...I just love fall here! The colors are so vibrant and beautiful...it could also be that I didn't notice it as much back in Seattle..or it could be that the trees around here are different than the ones where I lived...who knows...

Two months and one day before I go home to visit my family and friends!! I know I keep saying home...but it is my other home...even though I live here now and it is my home Seattle will always be home as well:)

For breakfast I had another one of my Jimmy Dean Turkey sausage sandwiches...I have one left and then I promise I will have something else..LOL I know its got to be boring to come back and see the same things over and over...I am trying to change things up here and there...hang in there if you will:)

Meals for 10/20/09

Wow!! I can't believe it is almost the end of October...crazy!! Woke up with a little bit of a sinus headache this morning and a sore ankle...not sure what I did to it but it is bothering me...taking it easy today to see if that can help it feel better....

Today I had another one of those Jimmy Dean sandwiches for breakfast...I think they even taste better than McDonalds sausage McMuffins...:) Here is a picture...this one had lots of cheese in it...

I took Riley outside and he found a new girlfriend...its a cute little yorkie named Nalla...she was ALMOST as cute as Riley...and they loved each other:) She is about half of Riley's size...so cute!! :)

Not sure what I am going to have for lunch...not really sure what I am in the mood for...we shall see...check back and find out!

Hello everyone...I had a hard time thinking of what I wanted for lunch because I am not feeling very well today and really didn't feel like I wanted to eat...but I know I have to...so I thought what do I want...and then realized I still had some of my pulled beef left that needed to be finished before it goes bad...it is too good to go bad!! Instead of making a sandwich I decided to put it in a wrap...just plain pulled beef in a low carb wheat tortilla...a HUGE tortilla for 1 point!! Here is a picture of what it looks like:




Low carb tortilla = 1 point
Pulled beef (2 servings) = 7 points
Banana = 2 points
Total points for Lunch = 10 points

Remember just because one serving of something is 3 points doesn't automatically make 2 servings 6...I put it through the WW calculator and it shows that 2 servings is 7 points.

I am going to go and relax a bit and then get busy again with some house stuff...catch y'all later!

Hello everyone! Spent the afternoon chilling out as I haven't felt really good today...I took Riley out later and he got to play with his friend Ozzy (another yorkie in the building)...then came in and made dinner. We had Pork Chops and Applesauce....here is a picture:
