Weigh in Results...

Ok...you can probably tell by the picture that I am not too happy with my weigh in this week...I am not 100% surprised...even though I didn't eat any Halloween candy I did eat that stupid yummy calzone last night...and my wonderful bloggy friend Tammy reminded me that I might gain some water weight from all the sodium...so I am not worried about it. I just need to make better choices and maybe throw a little more exercise into my routine. Anyway here is my results:

I gained....

.06 pounds

I know that .06 isn't that much but I really wanted it to go the other direction...oh well there is always next week! It has been a very crazy week with Halloween creeping up on us (no pun intended LOL) and Kevin's friend having the heart attack I am going to have to really concentrate on what I put in my mouth! We still haven't heard anything else about Kevin's friend. Hopefully we will hear something today. I hope you are all having a great day...I could use a pep talk if anyone wants to give me one...:)

  1. Hi Christa... I have gained and lost about 2 pounds over and over the last 3 weeks. All we can do is strive to eat healthy, exercise more, and be gentle to ourselves. Life happens, and we can only do what we can do. Hey, it's a new week...go out there and kick some butt! I'm rootin' for you. Big hugs, Kathleen

  2. I love the cartoon! It is too funny... I think we can all relate to the ups and downs of the scale. Sometimes you gain a little this week and lose a lot next week. This past weekend was really hard for me as well with Halloween. You will lose it next week!

  3. Hi Christa,

I am SO proud of you for the strides you're both taking towards leading a healthier lifestyle.

You are doing great so far. Keep up the hard work and positive thoughts!! You will get there, no matter the ups and downs [which are inevitable, unfortunately].

Be diligent with what you eat, but also remember that it isn't horrible to indulge once in awhile, you just have to remember how the food is going to shape your results [i.e. the sodium issue altering your weigh in]. Keeping a good food journal - as I always stress - is a huge plus. It helps you know every little item you put into your mouth. So helpful!

You are at a great point right now, with 14lbs in 10 weeks. This gradual weight loss is so healthy and I am SO proud of you. :)

  4. Ugh!! Sorry girl...I was hoping it wouldn't affect you as quickly as sodium affects me but it looks like it did. However, it's only 1/2 a pound!!! I swear to you...I get a 5 lb gain OVERNIGHT when I eat too much sodium!!! Don't you worry...you'll show a good loss next week...and I would definitely up the exercise...your body gets used to what you're doing VERY quickly...it's good to change it up and do a little more every 2 weeks....sounds like too much too soon, but you'd be surprised what your body's able to handle if you just push yourself a little bit....and I know you're motivated to get the weight off!! You're doing great girl...and you're never alone. We're here for you every step of the way!! :)

  6. Here with the honest heartfelt pep talk: THAT IS SO NOTHING, WOMAN! you can indeed peeeee that out and, when I was a trainer, I viewed that "gain" as maintaining it was so negligible!

keep at what youre doing----your are on your way!
