You would think I might be a little disappointed that I didn't lose more...? Well I am not because it is a few days from my TOM and I know alot of it is because of water weight gain...I was just happy to show a loss! So now I am at 13 pounds even...moving in the right direction! I am loving life right now and I have so much more energy...

I was a little down last week thinking that I have been on this new weigh of life for over a month and have "only" lost 12.4 pounds...and thought I should have lost more...well when I sat down and did the numbers I am losing an average of 1.1 pounds a week which I know you can do up to 2 pounds in a healthy way...but I am happy with the 1.1...you don't want to lose the weight too fast because it makes it so much easier to gain it back! I am heading to Seattle in 2 months and 3 days and I am so excited to see my family for Christmas!! Its been 6 months since I have seen them so that will be great!!

I hope you are all having a great Monday...thank you so much for all of your support..it really does help me keep motivated!

Meals for 10/19/09

Good Morning!! It is yet another Monday...it was an early morning...Kevin had a Dr. appointment at 8:45 so I took him and then dropped him off at the T station to go to work...then I stopped at the grocery store...I forgot to pick up some paper sacks for Kevin's lunches and ended up walking out with two bags of stuff...funny how that happens...but I did something I should NEVER do...went to the store starving!! I saw on my daily email from Hungry Girl Jimmy Dean D-Lights breakfast sandwiches. I thought I would try one because I love things that keep me full. So I ended up having a late breakfast...
Jimmy Dean Muffin w/turkey sausage, egg white & cheese = 5 points!!

It was really good...a little pricey though...I will probably wait for them to go on sale before I buy more...there is only 4 in a package...I really wanted the croissant sandwich but it was 6 points and I am trying to stay 5 & under for breakfast if possible. Check back for lunch...I am having something a little different...:)

I'm back...:) I hope your all having a wonderful day!! The sun is shining here in Boston but it is still chilly outside! Today for lunch I had some mini pizzas that I made with my sandwich thins...I used 2% fat mozzarella cheese, boboli pizza sauce and some turkey pepperoni...you wouldn't know the difference in the turkey or beef except I think it is less greasy! Here it is:




Pizza = 5 points (for both halves!)
Lemon Torte Parfait = 2 points
Veggie Crunchers = 3 points
Total points for Lunch = 10 points

Afternoon Snack:

VitaMuffin = 1 point

Come back and check out dinner...I am trying a recipe I found on my ifoods application on my IPhone...its BBQ chicken with a pineapple ring and green pepper cooked in a foil packet...come check it out! :)

Hi friends!! I spent the afternoon doing a little laundry and catching up on some blogs...wasn't feeling all that great...but I am feeling better now...:) For the chicken I made what I did was pound a boneless skinless chicken breast to about 1/4 inch thick so that it cooks evenly. Put in in the middle of the foil put a ring of pineapple on top and a slice of green pepper on top of that...put about 2 Tbsp of BBQ sauce and then wrap it up leaving some room for air to circulate....this is what it looks like when you have it wrapped up:

I cooked it at 450 degrees for 20 minutes...or you can also grill it. When you take it out of the oven cut some slits to let out the steam...otherwise you can really burn yourself! This is what it looks like:

I had this with a bag of Steam Fresh Broccoli and Cauliflower...the whole bag is only 1 point!

BBQ Chicken w/pineapple & green pepper = 9 points
Steam Fresh Broccoli & Cauliflower = 1 point
Total points for Dinner = 10 points

Dessert: Skinny Cow Chocolate Ice Cream cone = 3 points

TOTAL POINTS USED FOR THE DAY = 29!

It turned out very good! I think it would taste even better with some teriyaki sauce:) This is how I will be making my chicken from now on...the chicken was very moist....:) I hope you all have a wonderful evening!

Meals for 10/18/09

Hello everyone...Happy Sunday! Woke up this morning to a sweet puppy dog on my pillow..curled in a ball near my head...he is such a cuddlier! Once I got up I decided to finish off the Fiber One Shredded Wheat...

Fiber One Shredded Wheat = 3 points
Milk = 2 points
Total points for Breakfast = 5 points

For lunch I had some of the pulled beef and veggie crunchers...I need to get that finished up so it doesn't go to waste...

Sandwich Thins = 1 point

Afternoon Snack:

VitaMuffin Deep Chocolate = 1 point

I am spending the afternoon going through our dresser drawers and boxing up all of our summer clothes to take to storage and getting out the winter clothes...and going through the sock drawer and matching all the socks...you see our puppy LOVES socks and when we take them off he has to have them..to play with...so sometimes the match doesn't make it in the laundry with the other sock...so I had tons of single socks...so that was how I am spending the afternoon...exciting right? :) Check back for dinner...my sweet adorable loving husband is making spaghetti......thank you honey!

Hello y'all....what an afternoon! Got alot done in the bedroom cleaning out all the summer clothes and will get them boxed up tomorrow. Kevin and I watched the awesome Patriots play in the snow...and then we looked outside and guess what?? SNOW!! I will be blogging about it on my other blog tomorrow....my wonderful husband made his spaghetti for dinner and it was delicious!! Here it is:

Meals for 10/17/09

Hello friends! Sorry for the late post...today was a busy day. We had some errands to run this morning so I had my bowl of Fiber One Shredded Wheat for breakfast:

Fiber One cereal = 3 points
Milk = 1.5 points
Total points for Breakfast = 4.5 points

You can check out my other blog to see all that we did today...one thing we did was meet some wonderful friends for lunch...Kristen & Kevin. We went to a place called Kelley's Roast Beef...I had a turkey club wrap with a pickle and I ate half of it and took the rest home. I counted about 15 points for this and I think its about right...yes it had mostly turkey and lettuce & tomato but it also had a small amount of a ranch sauce and some bacon in it also...here is a picture...the tortilla is wrapped in some wax paper so that is why the tortilla looks shiny...

Turkey Club Wrap = estimated 15 points
Pickle = 0 points
Total points for Lunch = 15 points

I am having some woman issues and was craving pizza for dinner...so we ordered a pizza and shared it...I had my two pieces...

Pizza = 9.5 points
Diet Coke = 0 points
Total points for Dinner = 9.5 points

TOTAL POINTS USED FOR THE DAY = 29!

I know I am going to regret eating the pizza with the diet coke because of the salt and the caffeine as we all know that can cause water retention and cramps....ugh! Sorry guys TMI!! I was going to have my dessert and dip into my extra points...but I am just not hungry so I am not gong to do it:)

Meals for 10/16/09

Good Morning Bloggers!! :) Woke up this morning to alot of rain and a high tide outside...I will be showing pictures on my other blog so check it out:) For breakfast today I thought I would try a different Fiber One Cereal...this one was kind of like Raisin Bran with clusters cereal..it was really good and sweet...it was about 30 calories less than the shredded wheat and 2 grams higher in fiber...so it was 170 cal; 1 gram fat; 11 grams fiber! Still the same amount of points...but it was just something a little different...and it was just sweet enough to be good!:)


Fiber One Cereal = 3 points
Milk = 2 points
Banana = 1.5 points
Total points for Breakfast =6.5 points

I have some laundry to work on and other fun housework...so I better run...I hope your all having a great day!! Check back for lunch...

Sorry for the late post on lunch...I ended up getting a really bad headache this afternoon and took something for it and just rested my eyes...it is just about gone as I write this...I hate those headaches where your eyes hurt even if you close them...blah! For lunch I decided to have some of my pulled beef as I have one other package left and I don't want it to go bad...it is my favorite thing right now...it is good protein and only 3 points per serving...here it is:

Pulled Beef = 3 points
Veggie Crunchers = 3 points
Babybel Cheese = 2 points

Afternoon Snack:

VitaMuffin = 1 point

I just love these VitaMuffin/Brownie products...for all you chocoholics out there and I know there are many these are for you! They are not super cheap but they are SO worth the money!!

For dinner I had a new frozen meal..it was one I had seen at the store and wanted to try but they were a little pricey...but once they went on sale for a more reasonable price I thought I would try one...They are called Health Choice Cafe Steamers...Sesame chicken...here it is:



Healthy Choice Cafe Steamer = 6 points
Steam Fresh Broccoli & Cauliflower = 1 point (whole bag!!)
Total points for Dinner = 7 points

I liked the taste of the Healthy Choice dinner, however the quantity wasn't worth the 6 points and the money...if I am going to pay full price for it I would expect more quantity. Other than that it was good. I realized that the broccoli and cauliflower was only 1 point for the whole bag so I was short points..so I had to throw in a snack after dinner to keep my points as close to 29 as possible...so here it is...
Snack:

Fiber One Oats and Chocolate = 2 points

Dessert: Skinny Cow Chocolate Ice Cream cone = 3 points

TOTAL POINTS USED FOR THE DAY = 28.5!

Meals for 10/15/09

Good Morning everyone! I am feeling a little blah this morning...I kept waking up last night and just couldn't say asleep...I was going to get up and exercise this morning but I just don't feel like it...I decided to have something a little different for breakfast...egg whites and sandwich thins with jam. It is actually cold this morning...we are starting to use our comforter at night...so winter is a comin! Right now it is 39 degrees outside and it is almost 11:00 in the morning...that is crazy!

3 egg whites = 1 point
Sandwich Thins = 1 point
Strawberry Jam = 1 point
(didn't have a banana..just used this picture from last time)
Total Points for Breakfast = 3 points

I need some motivation folks...don't know why I am feeling so blah today...not down or depressed...just don't have much energy...check back at lunch...catch y'all later:)

Hey everyone! Thank you for all the comments and words...I am feeling alot better this afternoon. I got out and went to the grocery store and picked up a RX for Kevin and picked up some of my favorite deserts...:) The Skinny Cow Chocolate Ice Cream Cone...you see I LOVE LOVE LOVE ice cream and this really helps me stay on track. I used to eat a bowl of ice cream every night...and that is a huge reason that I gained alot of weight. So this keeps it portion controlled and when I am done I feel satisfied. It is only 3 points and it doesn't taste like the "fake" ice creams out there...it doesn't have an aftertaste that wont go away...give it a try I know you will love it:)

For lunch I had the same as yesterday...my Mexican Corn Chowder...I need to eat it before it goes bad...I still have a few more bowls left...but I may take a break tomorrow from it:)

All Bran crackers = 2 points
2 Laughing Cow Cheese Wedges = 1.5 points

Meals for 10/14/09

Good Morning everyone! It is a COLD sunny morning here in Boston...right now the temperature is 46 degrees outside...and tomorrow night is supposed to get to 29 degrees...BRRRRR:)

I hope you are all having a great week...can't believe it is Wednesday already! I had a really good nights sleep and was able to fall asleep much easier...

For breakfast I had my Fiber One Cereal...it was really filling. Here it is...

Meals for 10/13/09

Hello friends! I just wanted to start out this post by thanking each and every one of your for your nice words on my weigh in results...you don't know how much it encourages me to know that I have so many people out there wishing me well:) You have all inspired me and keep doing so...we will fight this fight and win it together!

This morning I got up and even though I really just wanted to sit and chill with Riley on this dreary, foggy and rainy day I got off my butt and went downstairs and walked 2 miles on the treadmill at 2.5 mph on 2% incline...that was about 50 minutes worth. I feel great! My feet are a little sore...it is a little hard for me to walk as much because I do have some osteoarthritis in my right foot where I had surgery last year...so it gets a little sore and achy but I am trying to not make that an excuse because I know that one large reason it hurts so much is because of the weight that it carries everyday!

I came back upstairs and had a bowl of my favorite cereal and a banana...

Fiber One Cereal = 3 points
Milk = 2 points
Banana = 1.5 points
Total points for Breakfast = 6.5 points

I am going to enjoy my Mexican Corn Chowder for lunch again today...check back later:)

Weigh In Results...


Well...I am VERY happy with this weeks weigh in...I was worried last night because I felt so bloated and ick...but this morning I got on the scale and........

I lost 2.4 pounds!!

So that brings my total to date to 12.4 pounds....:) Next week may be a challenge because I will be getting ready for that lovely visitor...you know the one that every woman has to deal with....TMI??
