Meals for 11/9/09

Hello everyone! Yet another beautiful day here in Boston...and I needed to run some errands. I went to Dress Barn to try to find some more dress pants but I couldn't find the ones I got last time...so I will have to take them with me next time. Check out my other blog to see the new shirts I bought yesterday...let me know what you think:) Then went to Petco to get Riley some more soft food...then to the grocery store...

Before leaving I had a new Kashi Cereal...Heart to Heart:




Heart to Heart Cereal = 2.5 points
Almond Breeze = 1 point
Banana = 1.5 points
Total points for Breakfast = 5 points

I came home starving! Not good to go grocery shopping when your hungry! But I was good! Here is what I had for lunch:




Angel Hair Pomodoro = 5 points
Babybel Cheese = 2 points
Lemon Torte Parfait = 2 points
Total points for Lunch = 9 points

Afternoon Snack:
10 Almonds = 1.5 points

For dinner I am making goulash...I stopped at Panera Bread and got some sourdough bread for dinner tonight and I almost got a strawberry smoothie which they said was low fat...but I didn't know what the nutrition numbers were...so when I came home I looked it up and it really isn't bad at all! The large would have been 5 points and the grande would have been 4 points...I will know for next time:) Check back later for dinner pics...catch you all later:)

Hello:) Dinner was very yummy...this is a family recipe that my Mom used to make when I was growing up. It is very simple and a nice one pot meal. A little sourdough bread on the side and that makes a nice dinner:) Here are the pictures:

Goulash = 6 points
2 slices medium slices of Sourdough bread = 2.5 points
Butter = 3 points

Meals for 11/8/09

Wow...another late post...see what I mean about weekends being out of sorts?? I am just busy and don't get the chance to post until the evening! Today was busy...I slept in until about 9:00...I had to take a muscle relaxer last night because I was having muscle spams in my shoulder blade and that stuff knocks me out cold! Then I end up feeling groggy until the next afternoon...but it works! Once I got up we both had some breakfast:

Jimmy Dean Croissant Sandwich = 6 points

Then we had some errands to do...Kevin wanted to go to the Apple store and use his birthday money to buy some earphones for his IPhone...then we went to Lane Bryant to see if I could find some more dressy shirts...I hit the jackpot and found 3 shirts and a tank to go under one of the shirts because it was too sheer to wear without something under it. They were all on sale!! So now I am set for whatever job I end up getting. I have my interview on Thursday and I am sooooooo excited!! I REALLY want this job so cross your fingers and toes...well not until Thursday I don't want you to sit that way for 4 days! LOL

Then we came home and had some lunch and watched the Patriots play...well Kevin watched I ended up catching up on my DVR shows and fell asleep in the bedroom...I tell you that pill was still affecting me...I hope I can sleep tonight! Here was my lunch:


Fetticini Alfredo = 4 points

For dinner we had some Porkchops and Applesauce....I always loved that episode of The Brady Bunch when Peter said "Porkchawps and Applesawce"....LOL...I was so hungry I didn't take a picture...we had:

Pasta Roni Angel hair w/herbs = 7 points
Total points for dinner = 16

Dessert: Skinny Cow Vanilla Ice cream bar = 2 points

TOTAL POINTS USED FOR THE DAY = 28!

Just a reminder I am changing my weight in to Friday's so I am going to leave y'all hanging for my results until next Friday:) My number one goal for this week is to not allow myself to deal with being nervous and excited about the interview allow me to use food to make it better! :) Catch you all later everyone!

Meals for 11/7/09

Hello everyone! I hope your having a wonderful weekend! If you would like to see what we did today feel free to check out my other blog:)

We woke up early this morning...I usually sleep in but for some reason I just couldn't go back to sleep! I was hungry so I decided to get up and eat some breakfast and catch up on some TV. I tried something new that I heard about. Instead of using 1% milk in my cereal I tried a product called Almond Breeze. It is milk made from almonds with a hint of vanilla..you know how I was saying that the cereal was just a little bland..well the little bit of vanilla gives it that little bit of sweetness without having to add anything to it. It is only 1 point per cup...and it was VERY good! :) Here are the pictures:


2 cups of Kashi GoLean = 5 points
1 cup of Almond Breeze = 1 point
Total points for Breakfast = 6 points

For lunch we stopped at Subway and I had the 6 inch Turkey Breast. I was so hungry I didn't take pictures...sorry!

Turkey Breast Sub = 5 points
Apples = 1 point
Total points for Lunch = 6 points

Afternoon Snack:
Almonds = 4 points

I am going to post our dinner because it is going to be leftover soft taco's from Thursday night...I already have a picture for those:)

I have made a decision...I have been getting a little frustrated with how it seems like during the week I do so good and I have a harder time with the drinking of water and keeping on schedule for eating so that usually affects my weigh ins on Monday's. So I have decided to change my weigh in days to Friday's. I think that will help me be able to recover from the weekend and show my losses a little better. We will see if it makes any difference...I think it will make things a little less stressful over the weekend. Take care everyone and I will see you back her tomorrow...I hope:)

Meals for 11/6/09

Hello everyone..sorry for the late post...today was another busy day. The maintenance men had to come and check on my washer and I think we may have fixed the problem...then I did a few loads of laundry...watched some of my Medium show...and then went to dinner for Kevin's birthday....I had small meals because I wanted to be able to eat without too much worry...this will be a post without pictures today because I am beat and don't want to spend too much time on the computer tonight...if you want to know more about what we did tonight for dinner check out my other blog...

I am getting a little far ahead of myself here...for breakfast:

Jimmy Dean Croissant Sandwich = 6 points

Lunch:
Steam Fresh Broccoli & Cauliflower = 1 point

Snack:
Fiber One Oats & Peanut Butter Granola bar = 2 points

Dinner:
Chicken Burro (I am counting the rest of my points for the day on this) = 20 points

TOTAL POINTS USED FOR THE DAY = 29
I might have used some of my extra points but I don't know the points for what I had for dinner...I will just need to be good this weekend and drink tons of water!

OH YEAH!! I got a call this afternoon and I have a face to face interview scheduled next Thursday!! I wasn't expecting to hear anything until early next week! I am very excited and I hope I get it! :) Keep your fingers crossed for me:) I am going to sign off and chill out a while before going to bed:) Night all!

Meals for 11/5/09

Hello friends! Once again I have been super busy today so my post is a little late...I had my phone interview this morning and I think it went really well...I should know early next week if I am going to move on to meeting with the hiring manager for in person interviews..:) I got up early and had a Jimmy Dean Croissant Sandwich:

Today was a funny food day...my stomach was not too happy with me and I had some errands to do...tomorrow is Kevin's birthday so I needed to go and get his birthday gifts....and then I had to go get my hair cut. So for lunch I had:

Afternoon Snack:

More Almonds... = 4 points

I have just been craving almonds today...not sure why...they are predicting some possible snow tonight! Not alot but a dusting..that would be so weird to wake up to! Its way too early! Well I am going to catch up on some blogs and then start some dinner:) Check back later:)

Meals for 11/4/09

Good Afternoon friends!! Sorry for the late post but I have been one busy girl this morning...it all started when I pulled some laundry out of the dryer...and then I started packing up some of our summer clothes and packing them to take to the storage unit...then I realized I didn't have anymore boxes...well I got the itch to clean out the closet and needed more boxes...sooooo I went to the storage place to buy some more boxes...and pick up Kevin's Red Sox winter coat and some dress clothes that I might fit into now:) When I got home I got busy and cleaned out the closet and WOW does it look awesome!!

I noticed that I had a missed call message and voicemail on my cell phone...so I checked it and it was someone from HR at the place I applied for a position last Friday!!! So I called her back and we set up a phone interview for tomorrow!! So I am really pumped at this point because I really am interested in this job! It is the same work that I did at my last job for 10 years...so wish me luck! I think getting myself back into the workplace will really help my weight loss because it will keep me busy throughout the day and not sit on my butt so much...not like I do that every day though!! LOL

Anyhoo yesterday when I went grocery shopping I bought some of the Jimmy Dean D-Lights but this time I bought the croissant sandwich. It is 1 point more than the english muffin one..but I used to LOVE the Burger King croissant sandwiches so I thought I would give it a whirl. It was really good and very filling just like the other sandwich. Here is what it looks like:

I was so busy cleaning out my closet that I didn't realize that it was 1:00 and I needed to eat! When I get going on things I just want to get it done...and it looks so amazing! I was craving my childhood favorite...Peanut butter and Jelly sandwich. So I used my reduced fat peanut butter and sandwich thins. I also found a nice chip where you get alot for 3 points! I am really good about counting the chips instead of eyeballing it and then put the bag away so I don't keep eating more. Pringles party size chips serving size is 42 chips (that is ALOT of chips!!) for 3 points. I love sour cream & onion flavor and it helped with my crunch and salt craving! I couldn't see myself eating 42 of these chips (they are mini they are not the regular sized chip) so I cut it in half and ate 21 chips and that was only 1 point!! And it was just enough! Meals for 11/3/09

Hello friends! Been a busy busy morning....got up when Kevin left and got some things done and then took Riley over to the groomers..his hair was getting so long it was crazy! Then I headed out to Costco to get some more Veggie Crunchers...from what I understand they may not be making these much longer...that will really tick me off because I LOVE them and they are so much better than chips! I need that salty crunch with my sandwiches and these are perfect:) I also got some apples and corn and some grape tomatoes...I love these things! Nice 0 point snack! Then I went to Petco and got some food for Riley and then to the grocery store...they had their Chobani greek yogurt on sale so I got some of those...:) Here is what I had for breakfast...yes I was good and ate breakfast! :)

Kashi Go Lean = 2 points
Milk = 2 points
Total points for Breakfast = 4 points

I did add a little Splenda to it just to give it a little sweetness...and for lunch...

I have a killer sinus headache so I am going to go take some more meds and try to get rid of it! There is nothing worse than a sinus headache that makes your eyes hurt! Ta Ta for now:)

Hello all! I still have this blasted headache! I spent the afternoon watching some TV...resting my eyes and then I walked over to pick Riley up from the groomers...it is too close to drive so we just took a little walk:) Kevin had to work late tonight on month end stuff so I decided to have breakfast for dinner! I had plenty of points left as we were going to have Manwiches for dinner so I decided to have real eggs! I am not a big Egg Beater fan...so since I had the points I figured what the heck! I made a couple slices of Bacon in the oven...SO much easier to make it that way and not mess up my stove top! Topped it off with some raisin toast:)

3 Eggs = 6 points
2 slices center cut bacon = 2 points
2 slices raisin toast = 2 points
3 tsp butter = 3 points
Total points for Dinner = 13 points

While making dinner I was really hungry and ate 5 almonds...so I must count those as well:

5 almonds (this was a previous picture) = 1 point

I am going to go and finish watching the Biggest Loser and then head for bed...and hopefully wake up headache free! Night all!

Weigh in Results...

Ok...you can probably tell by the picture that I am not too happy with my weigh in this week...I am not 100% surprised...even though I didn't eat any Halloween candy I did eat that stupid yummy calzone last night...and my wonderful bloggy friend Tammy reminded me that I might gain some water weight from all the sodium...so I am not worried about it. I just need to make better choices and maybe throw a little more exercise into my routine. Anyway here is my results:

I gained....

.06 pounds

I know that .06 isn't that much but I really wanted it to go the other direction...oh well there is always next week! It has been a very crazy week with Halloween creeping up on us (no pun intended LOL) and Kevin's friend having the heart attack I am going to have to really concentrate on what I put in my mouth! We still haven't heard anything else about Kevin's friend. Hopefully we will hear something today. I hope you are all having a great day...I could use a pep talk if anyone wants to give me one...:)

Meals for 11/2/09

Good Morning everyone!! I hope you all had a great weekend! This is going to be a busy week...Kevin's Birthday is on Friday and I want to go shopping for him...but today is all about cleaning and getting more things ready to go to storage. Kevin's Mom is coming on Wednesday so we are excited to show her our apartment and the view:) I am trying to fight off a sinus headache this morning...I tried something new for breakfast...a new cereal. I love my fiber one cereal but one thing it has that I wasn't thrilled with was high fructose syrup which is not good for you. So when I was at BJ's yesterday I picked up some Kashi cereals. It had 3 different ones. Kashi Go Lean Crunch, Heart to Heart and Regular Go Lean. I had some of the regular Go Lean cereal. One serving is only 2 points! It was pretty good..I am used to sugary cereals so this was a little bit of a change. It was very sweet and I can't see adding sugar when I am trying to eat healthy! I might try adding a cut up banana to the cereal next time and see if that sweetens it up a little. Here are the pictures:)

Good Evening my friends! Spent the afternoon doing the same old same old...cleaning up and watching some TV...It is soooooo cold outside!! I have taken Riley outside in his new winter coat and he isn't too sure about it yet. I had my Pot Roast Soup tonight and it was so good!

I have been drinking water like crazy today after eating that calzone last night and I think I have lost the water weight...although after I had the soup I looked at the label and it is 680 grams of sodium per serving!! So I had 1360 grams of sodium!! Ugh! LOL...but I have a week to get rid of that extra water that I will be retaining! LOL

Meals for 11/1/09

Wow! I can't believe it is November already!! This year has just flown by! Kevin and I got up this morning and ran some errands. We went to BJ's to pick up some things. Picked up Kevin's suits from the dry cleaner and paid rent at the storage unit...other than that we haven't done much. We were both really tired which makes no sense because we got that extra hour of sleep last night!

Once again we left so fast I didn't eat breakfast...so that isn't so good. This is what I had lunch:



Lean Pocket = 5 points
Veggie Crunchers (2 servings) = 5 points
Apple = 1 point
Reduced Fat Peanut Butter = 2 points
Total Points for Lunch = 13 points

For dinner I was really tired and didn't feel like cooking...I know I need to get better about this! I don't know if I am coming down with something or what...but I don't usually take naps but I had to this afternoon...we ordered pizza and I got a calzone...veggie one but I am counting 15 points for it...I still have over 30 extra points left...probably not the smartest thing to do the day before weigh in...but I was good last night and didn't have any candy except for 2 twizzlers! I am making a commitment to cooking all dinners this week. We have Kevin's Mom coming out for a visit on Wednesday so it will be good to see her:) I am going to make some crockpot meals and some other good things:) Here are the guestimated stats for dinner:

Veggie Calzone = 15 points

Dessert: Skinny Cow Chocolate Ice cream Cone = 3 points

TOTAL POINTS USED FOR THE DAY = 31!

Normally I wouldn't have dessert but I am craving some chocolate tonight...and as I said yesterday I was short by 3 points so we will see how that affects me tomorrow! Wish me luck!
